“Thomas and Kathy are artists, truly.”
I have purchased many vases for Ikebana as well as a full set of plates and bowls (which they custom made for me). You can find them at most Ikebana shows in the San Francisco Bay Area—and a small selection at Soko Hardware in San Francisco—but I highly recommend visiting their studio in the hills above Milpitas. They host open studio events each year, or you can call to make an appointment. I’ve visited several times and been given a tour and lots of information about their process. They are wonderful and talented people. Highly recommended!

I and my Ikebana friends have been purchasing a lot of ikebana vases from Thomas and Kathy. I would recommend this business.

“A piece of art that elevates my daily ritual.”
I recently purchased a matcha bowl from Arakawa Pottery, and I couldn't be more thrilled. The bowl is uniquely elegant, blending traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design. Its smooth, delicate curves and stunning glaze make it a standout. Every time I prepare matcha, I feel tranquility and appreciation for the art of tea-making. The size is perfect for whisking, creating a beautiful froth, and the glazing reflects light beautifully. Highly recommend to anyone who values quality and aesthetics in their tea ceremony.
