Product Description
"Wajima-nuri," produced in Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture, is a high-end lacquerware known for its strength, durability, and artistic beauty. Even if they break, they can be repaired and continue to be used, making them truly "lifetime" pieces.
While lacquerware has been produced in Wajima for a long time, Wajima-nuri is believed to have originated as a distinct local style around the 17th century. During the Edo period, taking advantage of its importance as a stopover on the Japan Sea route and the efforts of lacquerware producers known as "nushiya," Wajima-nuri was promoted and spread throughout the country.
Usage Instructions:
Due to the use of natural wood, avoid using in the microwave, oven, dishwasher, or dryer.
After use, wash with lukewarm water immediately. Since it's lacquerware, avoid using scrub brushes or abrasive powders, and use a soft sponge with neutral detergent for cleaning. After washing, thoroughly wipe off any moisture. Do not leave it in water or soak for an extended period; instead, drain as soon as possible. After use, wash with warm water and wipe with a soft cloth.
Storage Instructions:
Store in a place where direct sunlight does not reach to prevent discoloration. To prevent drying, store in a well-ventilated area.
